Address : ZOOM TOWN HALL This program was organized by the KLSICCI in collaboration with Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC), Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP) and CIMB Sdn Bhd. The Zoom Town Hall session was focused on ‘’Targeted Relief & Recovery Facility for SMEs & CGC’s Financing Products for SMEs, Startups & Women Entrepreneurs. In view of the Budget 2021 Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) allocation up 2 billion which are distributed to various private financial institutions as well as SJPP and CGC to support recovery for SMEs in the services sector. The ZOOM session was moderated by Mr. Nivas Ragavan and assisted by KLSICCI secretariat. We had over 100 participation via Zoom Town Hall as well as Facebook. The 1st speaker for this program was Pn.Masliza Zainal Head of Marketing & Research Unit (SJPP) highlighted and briefed on the guarantee schemes which this financial institution gets rights to administrate and manage and evaluate the applicant based on the relevant terms and criteria, she continued with detailed explanations on targeted relief and recovery facility (TRRF) followed by Penjana Tourism Financing facility (PTF) and other SJPP existing budget for the year 2021. These allocations were discussed in detail from purpose and type of financing available, financing limitation and tenure as well as eligible sectors which applicant could apply based on the eligibility. The Zoom Meeting continued by 2nd Speaker of the day Ms. Teresa Vice President, of CIMB SME expressed on BNMs fund Size & availability together with the eligibility credit parameters for the applicants in detail, as well as touched on common reasons for the rejections and advised on proper documentations which could lead to higher rate of successful applications. Followed by third Speaker Mr. Jonathan Explained on holistic solutions by SME partners which introduced shopmatic is an e-commerce platform to help SMEs build and scale up their business in the e-commerce space. Ms. Farah Idayu third speaker also added affordable financing rates which CIMB offers likewise loans up to 7 years and up to 6 months moratorium. The last speaker of the day was Ms Sangeetha Kisna, Assistance Branch Manager Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC). Ms Sangeetha introduced the financing schemes offered by CGC together with the allocation and financing amount limits which are up to RM300, 000 for schemes vary from Bizmula-i the financing for new businesses and Biz Wanita-i the Financing for Women Entrepreneurs alongside with the criteria and requirements for the applications. After the three speakers presented their presentation question and answer session was held in a more comprehensive way on the enquiries of the respective participants. This significant program was much needed at this point of time so that SMEs and Micro businesses can leverage on and empower their businesses to sustain in the longer run as well as prepare their businesses for many challenges.
